Chris Crocker signed

According to the Sun-Sentinel, the Dolphins reached an agreement with S Chris Crocker on a one-year contract worth $1.15 million, with $300,000 of that guaranteed as a signing bonus and workout money. The deal also includes incentives.

[Note: Just to calm everyone's fears, this is not the same Chris Crocker who gained his 15 minutes of fame shrieking for all of us to just "leave Britney alone!"]

This particular Chris Crocker (5'11", 192 lbs.) was a third-round draft choice of the Cleveland Browns in 2003. He is 28 years old.

He has significant starting experience, starting every game that he played in for the Falcons and Browns over the past three seasons. He has started in 52 games over his five year career. He is coming off a particularly solid season last year, in which he tallied a career-best 11 passes defensed and 3 INTs. He should challenge for one of the starting safety spots, or at least one of the top backup spots.
