In a bit of good news before training camp, the Memorial Day charge of aggravated assault of a police officer against DE Randy Starks is being dropped.
Instead, Starks will face the lesser misdemeanor charge of culpable negligence.
This should put Starks in a better position to focus on football and challenge Phillip Merling for playing time with the starting unit.
